Speak Truth, Not Lies

Speak Truth, Not Lies

We all know that truth should always be spoken, yet it has become alarmingly common, especially among the younger generation in Pakistan, to stray from it. Unfortunately, this behavior stems from observing elders who fail to lead by example. Parents lie, uncles lie, shopkeepers, mechanics, lawyers, students, servants, and drivers alike—it’s estimated that more than 60% of people frequently lie. Many believe they are successful by deceiving others, but in the long run, they lose something far more valuable: their credibility, trust, and loyalty.

Lying in Islam

In no religion is lying acceptable, and in Islam, the Deen clearly teaches that a Muslim may be timid, may be stingy, but he cannot be a liar. Lying goes against the very essence of our faith and values.

Commitment to Truth

It’s time we revive our Islamic and moral obligations to always speak the truth, no matter the circumstances. Let’s start with ourselves and encourage those who influence us to be truthful in all things.

If we observe successful nations like Japan, Germany, and Russia, we see a striking pattern: nearly 99% of people in these countries are truthful. This honesty has been a key factor in their rapid growth and progress.
